Correspondence, clippings, advertisements, reports, and promotional materials relating to Peripheral Vascular Society of America, an organization devoted to sclerotherapy, an obsolete treatment for varicose veins, 1970; Perkins Metallic Tractors, an eighteenth-century "galvanism" cure for rheumatism, gout, epilepsy, and other complaints, 1922-1972; Perpetual Encyclopedia Corporation, which also operated a "research service" and was accused of various misrepresentations, 1926-1945; Perse, an alleged drug-addiction cure promoted by former cancer-cure artist Emanuel Revici, 1971-72; and PERSONA, a popular magazine of "health, happiness [and] success," 1928-29.
